This is a full version of Microsoft Windows 10; we recommend you back up your files before installing. Windows Media Center is not available in Windows 10. Apps and features may vary by market. Updates are automatically enabled during support period; additional requirements will apply over time. Some features such as touch may require a new device. To check for compatibility, support period, and other important installation information, visit your device manufacturer's website and windows.com/windows10specs.

Install the 32/64-bit Windows 10 Home operating system from Microsoft on your notebook or desktop to enhance it with a hybrid Start Menu, Microsoft Edge web browser, and Cortana personal assistant. Without leaving the Windows desktop to access your apps, the hybrid Start Menu in Windows 10 Home looks similar to the menu in Windows 7 and combines it with the live tiles used in Windows 8's Start Screen. The Start Menu has been enlarged to include these tiles, which can let you view how many email messages you have, the current weather status, and more. In addition to the live tiles, you still have enough room on the Start Menu to pin your most frequently used apps and files. Built with the strengths of Windows 7 and Windows 8, Windows 10 Home combines the best features of both engines to remain compatible with nearly all your peripherals and the computer's internal components. Furthermore, it offers a similar design to the previous version of Windows, so you can easily start using Windows 10 Home right away.

Microsoft Windows 10 Home gives you the best experience for quickly getting things done. Start fast with all your favorite apps and files right at hand. Quickly take action with notifications collected in one place. Stay focused with easy ways to snap apps in place, create new desktops, and organize your screens just the way you want. It's designed to work with the devices you already own: PCs, Laptops, Windows Tablets, 2-in-1s.

Questions & Answers

Question: Whats the difference between Windows 10 Home and Pro?
Answer from Microsoft Certified Specialist: There are many things both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro can do, but just a few features that are supported only by Pro: create and join a domain, bitlocker, remote desktop, hyper-v, Enterprise Mode Internet Explorer, Assigned Access, Remote Desktop Connection. Windows 10 Home will suffice for the vast majority of users who just want to browse the web, do a work, and manage their media files, play PC games. The benefits of the Pro version focus on security and compatibility, but of course the value of these features will come down to whether you actually intend to use them or not, and most home users won't.

Question: Is this 64bit or 32bit?
Answer from Microsoft Certified Specialist: Both the 32 and 64 bit versions are included.

Question: Hello, I'm building my own computer for the first time. Will this OS work?
Answer from Microsoft Certified Specialist: Yes this will work.

Question: How many computer can use in this version?
Answer from Microsoft Certified Specialist: Only one!

Question: How to install it on desktop pc that has no OS.
Answer from Microsoft Certified Specialist: 1st: You download it while on another computer.
2nd: You will have to make the files bootable, don't worry, Microsoft has a little tool to help do that.
3rd: You transfer the files that you made bootable to a flash drive.

4th: Plug in the usb with the windows 10 download and stuff.
5th: Your computer will either automatically boot up the windows 10 installer, or you might have to boot it up using the BIOS, to get there you have to pretty much spam F2 until this grey and blue screen with blocky letters show up, then you go to boot, and you should see your flashdrive, whatever its named, and change that to your 1st boot option, then restart your pc.
6th: Once you are on the Windows 10 installation thing, you'll have to put in the Windows 10 product key that you got when you bought the download, i think it's in my items, or my digital collection or something on Amazon.
7th: Choose where you want to install Windows 10 to, you'll want to install this to your HDD.
8th: From there its pretty easy and you should be able to figure it out from there.

Question: What is the version (build) number?
Answer: It is Version 1703 OS Build 15063.413

Best Features of Windows 10 Home

Windows Hello

Windows Hello logs you into your Windows devices in less than 2 seconds, 3x faster than a password. Use your camera to recognize your face or try your fingerprint reader – either way Windows Hello recognizes you instantly. You can always keep your PIN as a backup.

Windows Hello lets you use your digital wristband, smart watch, phone and other companion devices to quickly unlock your Windows PC without using a password.6 By already certifying your identity, these devices give you another choice for quick, secured sign-ins.

Cortana

Microsoft has built its personal voice assistant Cortana right in the Start menu. Even if you’re already using Google Now or Siri, having Cortana on your desktop can be handy. You can perform web searches to get many of the same quick answers by simply pressing the Win key and typing a question like “How many ounces are in a cup” or “What’s the weather like?”

Cortana’s more than just voice commands, though. If you sign in with your Microsoft account, you can use Cortana to set reminders, add calendar events, and it can even give you Google Now-style cards with relevant information like stock quotes or news stories. Of course, many of these features only work at their best if you’re using Microsoft services—or at least syncing your services like Google Calendar to a Microsoft app—but even if you don’t want to get into Microsoft’s ecosystem, it’s still far more powerful than the Start Menu of the past.

Cortana can help you find all sorts of online information via natural language queries you ask using text or voice commands. Cortana can also apply those natural language smarts to search your hard drive, OneDrive, and business network for files that meet certain filters, like “Find pictures from June.”

The Xbox app

Windows 10’s new Xbox app should feel deeply familiar to Xbox One fans: The center point is your Activity Feed, which is populated by your Xbox Live Friends’ activities, such as unlocking an achievement or launching a Twitch stream. The right side of the app lists your friends; selecting one offers options to view their game clips, invite them to a party, send an IM, and more. You can also view your own achievements, manage your profile, and more all right within the app. You can even stream your Xbox One games to a Windows 10 PC or tablet.

Easy version history recovery

Make a mistake on that critical document? Don’t sweat it. Windows 10 Home makes rolling back to a previous version a cinch if you’re using its File History feature, which automatically saves snapshots of your revisions on a backup drive. Once it’s active, simply right-click on a file, select Properties, and open the Previous Versions tab to see the archived versions of it.
